CAD and CAE

Develop and review 2D drawings and 3D models, then use appropriate analysis to explore structural or other performance questions. Simulation results depend on the loads, materials and boundary conditions supplied.

Design for manufacturing

Review how a part will be produced and assembled while the design is still flexible. Coordinate geometry, material choice and manufacturing constraints rather than leaving the production team to resolve avoidable issues.

Connected product design

Applications include sensor enclosures, controller housings, test fixtures, brackets and equipment assemblies. For an electronic product, align the board outline, connectors, thermal path and enclosure features through shared mechanical interfaces.

A reviewable handover

Define models, drawings, assembly information and analysis reports as explicit deliverables. Agree which dimensions are critical, which assumptions require prototype testing and who approves the design before manufacture.

Practical mechanical work packages

A connected-device enclosure needs more than an attractive shape. Define the board mounts, connector openings, fasteners, assembly sequence and space for the power source. Review the heat path and service access alongside appearance and size. Deliver models and drawings that communicate those decisions to the prototype supplier.

For equipment or fixtures, begin with the interfaces, load cases and movement that the design must accommodate. Use analysis where it can inform a specific choice, then identify the physical checks needed to validate the assumptions. Record dimensional priorities and inspection requirements before releasing the design for manufacture.
