Inspection and release. Define incoming, in-process and final checks appropriate to the product. Agree first-article review, test records, nonconformance handling and traceability where required. Industrial assemblies. Coordinate the mechanical and electronic parts needed for a controller or equipment assembly, with clear revision and test requirements.
Prototype-to-production programmes. Use learning from development builds to establish a repeatable assembly and inspection approach for the next production quantity.
The handover includes build records, released deviations, inspection or test results and delivery documentation. Establish the ownership of tooling, customer-supplied material and manufacturing data in the commercial agreement.
